Holiday Decorating Contest

congratulations to our winners!

For the second year in a row the winner in the “Most Beautiful Window” category is Renee’ James Boutique at 10 E. Eagle Road in Oakmont. Judge Rudy Miller shares her appreciation of the display, "Renee James' window is always attractive, but during the Holidays it really sparkles. The charming display is well lit and I love the red, black, and white color palette. The matching snowflake patterned pillow and stockings help to dress up the window that features pretty red and black holiday outfits." Another perennial winner, Lizelle’s Bridal Boutique at 2112 Darby Road, is awarded second place for the elegant beauty of its display. Judge Gina Ranieri notes, "Lizelle's window represents the many things I love about Christmas - simple beauty and peacefulness."

In the “Most Creative Window” category first place is awarded to Wicked Cuts at 2333 W. Darby Road in Oakmont. Judge Chris Kelly remarks, “New business, Wicked Cuts, brightened the Oakmont Business District with clever and colorful windows that demonstrated their creativity.” Second place goes to another consistent winner, the Haverford Free Library at 1601 Darby Road.

In the “Most Whimsical Window” category first place is won again by Brew Your Own Beer at 2026 Darby Road. Second place goes to Dream Team at 1. E. Eagle Road in Oakmont.

In the category of “Most Effective Marketing Window” first place goes to Needle Me at 12 E. Eagle Road in Oakmont. Judge Amy Killeen comments, “The window at Needle Me was an eye-catching blend of a sparkling modern tree and traditional needle point ornaments. They did a great job making their block of Oakmont Village more festive while also advertising the business.” Second place goes to Havertown Bicycle at 2030 Darby Road.

The winner of the Best Holiday Façade category goes to Crossbar at 2225 Darby Road with second place going to Faust Orthodontics at 1635 Darby Road.
